The 8 teams will be divided into 2 pools, consisting of 4 teams each. The teams in each pool will come head to head with one another in an elimination round to select the top 2 teams from each pool which will play for the semi-final, and final following those results.

South Africa will be supplying over 130 A grade horses for the incoming countries to use during the test matches. The Polocrosse community in South Africa, although small, have shown an enormous amount of enthusiasm and support for their team through the lending of their precious horses to form the pools. These horses will be divided into 8 “pools”, carefully selected as to create groups of equalability and skill. These will be fairly drawn by the teams through a blind select process.

Each pool will have a designated horse coordinator who will see to the fair treatment and playing of each animal throughout the tournament.
