The newly launched Operation Vula Fund is a funding scheme initiated by the Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs (EDTEA) with the aim of ensuring that adequate support is provided for the establishment and promotion of sustainable emerging enterprises which include SMMEs and Cooperatives.

Some of our members may recall that some time ago the 1000 Hills CTO had become members of the N3 Gateway Association. But what exactly is the N3 Gateway Association and how does it benefit the 1000 Hills CTO and more importantly, you, our members? Read more about the the N3 Gateway Association here.

More and more companies today are investing in data collection on their websites and, there is a very good reason for this. Diving into the statistics of a website gives business owners and managers great insights into the intent of their users and so can guide decision making. We at 1000 Hills CTO collect statistics so that you, our members can do the same.

The 1st committee meeting of 2020 is done and dusted, and it's clear that the committee has a lot to achieve in this year. From upcoming events, networking session to the creation of a new map to better represent the 1000 Hills area, we have a lot to do but as is normal, very little time in which to do it!

 Welcome to the first newsletter of 2020! The year past was a difficult one for the previous 2018/2019 committee, but the new committee (2019/2020) has already met once and the year ahead is looking promising. Our newsletter introduces the new committee as well as lays out some of the events planned for the upcoming year.

The Valley of 1000 Hills is a perfect destination to get a taste of African wildlife and Zulu culture, all in one day!

On this Durban day tour and safari we'll collect you form your accommodation and take you through to Tala Game Reserve. This reserve is home to a number of different antelope species as well as over 300 species of bird.

The Valley of 1000 Hills is one of the best places in South Africa to experience some Zulu hospitality and to learn more about the Zulu people's culture and customs.

On this tour we'll travel deep into the rural Valley of 1000 Hills for a tour of a Zulu village where a guide from the village will take you on a walk through the village. You'll have an opportunity to meet the Chief of the Village and his wives as well as learn about the important role that the Chief's still play in South Africa Today.
